Adverse Effect |
Last Update: 2007/1/20 8:02 |
Description:
Adverse Effect was a very occasional journal edited/published by Richard Johnson (a.k.a. Richo) devoted to some of the areas already touched upon by both Lumberton Trading Company and the world it inhabits. However, as of January 2007, it has transmogrified into an online version which continues largely from where the published version left. Beyond this, it also provides a portal to Richo's Fourth Dimension Records imprint (which, over the years, has seen releases out by Theme, Andrew Liles, Goem, Stylus, K.K. Null, Ascension, Splintered, Thurston Moore, Stefan Jaworzyn, AMP Studio, Hijokaidan, Circle and Merzbow, amongst others) and a not too overbearing mail order outlet mostly dedicated to the stray trades, etc. that have come into its hands.

Formication |
Last Update: 2006/10/24 3:25 |
Description:
A breath taking duo who've managed to combine the fearful world of MR James with the hermetic nature of Coil to form a psycho-active third mind. Each recording is a plunge deeper into the heart of their own private demons. Quiet, brave and always truthful to their souls.

Audio Tong |
Last Update: 2005/11/21 13:39 |
Description:
Although it's probably fair to surmise that we here at LTCo generally prefer labels whose releases appear on the more traditional formats of CD or vinyl, it's good to know that once in a while another will spring from the ether to both prove our jaundiced views wrong and make a case for downloads instead. This Polish imprint is one such example and is given to very tastefully presented MP3s by a wide range of artists operating well in the folds of contemporary electronic music's furthest points, including Japan's Isso Music and Poland's Lukasz Szalankiewicz. Occasionally, Audiotong promote events in Krakow as well and in October 2005 collaborated with Fourth Dimension to present a performance by Andrew Liles.

Selektion |
Last Update: 2005/9/23 13:56 |
Description:
Highly recommended imprint truly pushing the envelope with electroacoustic, microscopic and surrealistic sounds originally born in Germany's vibrant post-punk/industrial scene of the late '70s/early '80s. This is the place to go for an overview of Ralf Wehowsky's prolific endeavours, as well as work by Achim Wollscheid, SBOTHI, Bernhard Günter and many others.

Die Stadt |
Last Update: 2005/7/27 13:30 |
Description:
Home to countless wonderfully packaged limited edition CD and vinyl releases by The Hafler Trio, Asmus Tietchens, Organum, Michael Prime, Mirror and others, this German label seems to be on a mission entirely of its own accord. William Basinski's recent 'Variations: A Movement in Chrome Primitive' 2CD (shared with by David Late Tibet's Durtro) has been almost reason alone to delve deeper.

Miss Del Real |
Last Update: 2005/6/2 11:53 |
Description:
The fact that this Chicago-based musician exists in a world that will never catch up with her is yet another one of life's many failings. For a number of years, she has created wonderful compositions on her piano that fill spaces between the imaginary and the sublime just perfectly. Plaintive and melancholic, these pieces ache for the same kind of attention accorded Nick Cave's 'The Boatman's Call', Max Richter and some of Philip Glass' work. Whilst we wait for some of these pieces to reach daylight in a suitable manner, however, Miss del Real is now concerning herself with a collaborative platform dedicated to electronic music.

Dual |

Description:
Home site of Colin Bradley's Dual project. A former member of Splintered and currently collaborating with Bark Psychosis, he's beaten his own path into the world of electronic sounds and come out the other end clutching an acoustic guitar. Rumour has it that a dulcimer can be found under his bed.
